Inspired Meditation

“I remember when I first started meditating- I wanted to sit cross-legged and be free of busy thoughts, but I simply felt frustration and resistance. What I came to find was that I needed freedom, dynamism, self-compassion and the space to explore individualised practices that work for me. My unique embodiment of meditation didn’t come from trying to fit into one box; it came from having a variety of meditation tools to call upon.

The client will be provided explorative mindfulness activities and reflective journal prompts to integrate the skill of, Grounding. A simple guide will be provided to explore Grounding within a home practice.

Module 2

Discover Your Breath

Module two explores the science of meditation in addition to the psychological and physiological changes that can take place within as a result of calming the mind. The holistic benefits, including the impact upon the four components of one’s being, the mind, body, spirit and emotional body, will be explored. The client will explore a series of Breathing techniques to uncover their unique anchor before being guided through a specially designed meditation to integrate the skill. A simple guide and reflective journal prompts will be provided to support your home practice and finding your preferred Breathing technique for calm.

Module 3

Discover Your Mantra

Module three will allow students to identify common misconceptions and the Meditation Attitudes, simple principles for mindfulness and daily living. This component of study will allow students to develop a deeper understanding of how to manage busy thoughts. A grounded and practical approach will be provided to support greater self-compassion, self-love and awareness of the ‘monkey mind’. Each student will discover the power of traditional forms of sound meditation and chants before creating an individualised Mantra. This mantra can be utilised to anchor a meditation practice or enhance self-growth, relating to personal aspirations, relationships and life goals. With support, students will be taken on a specially designed guided journey to integrate the skill. A simple guide and reflective journal prompts will be provided to support your home practice and integration of your Mantra.

Module 4

Discover Your Sense of Sight

Module Four provides a space for the client to explore two facets that comprise the Sense of Sight. In the beginning of this module, with gentle guidance, we will explore the notion of the Inner Child. The playful, curious, creative aspect of our being will be uncovered as we mindfully draw and create with presence. In the latter part of this module, we will learn about the Inner Eye and inner vision, before engaging in a powerful guided journey for discovering your sense of visualisation. A simple guide and journalling prompt will be provided to explore the skill within a home practice.

Feelings and emotions are a natural part of our human existence. The Open Awareness technique allows one to cultivate a loving awareness of emotions and to become an observer of our inner world with a sense of compassion. The founders of this technique and their theoretical underpinnings will be investigated before the participant is provided with the space to explore the Open Awareness technique through guided meditation. This more advanced technique is Wellbeing Arc’s favourite method for cultivating deep presence and loving awareness. Journal prompts, and a comprehensive guide will support you in integrating the skill into your home practice.

Module 5

Discover Self-Compassion & Awareness

Module 6

Discover Mindful Movement

This module will be comprised of two parts. Gentle, subtle and nourishing mindful movement can be a powerful technique to move stagnation, anxiety, or stress within the physical body. This module of study will look at the history of this technique before students are guided through a soft Movement meditation to integrate and open this skill within their practice.

Module 7

Inner Reflection & Future Expansion

Allowing time to integrate, explore and embody your unique practice is invaluable when creating a lasting meditation practice. In this module, each student will receive individualised support to reflect and evaluate upon their learning and identify practices that they wish to expand into. It is a time to be in the beautiful surroundings of the Wellbeing Arc property and to journal and anchor their unique personalised goals for their future meditation and mindfulness practice. To conclude our immersion, a nurturing guided meditation will be provided to support each student’s assimilation of their learning.
